FOURTH-GREAT-GRANDPARENTS: Elizabeth King and James May, who was tried at The Old Bailey Court in London, England, convicted of being a thief of trinkets, sentenced to seven years of servitude, jailed, placed on the British prison hulk, JUSTITIA, sailed west toward the American Colonies and arrived in Leedstown, Westmoreland County, Virginia on 25 February 1772. He was pressed into service in the British Army. After being captured by opposing forces, did he swear an oath of loyalty to the rebellious thirteen colonies? Did he serve in the Continental Army? As a British convict, he could never return to England. Circa 1831, James May was living in Pike County, Kentucky.

JOB DESCRIPTION: MOS Carpenter. The Service Company organized supplies of everything needed, from food and fuel to trucks and care of deceased soldiers for the regiment. Clarence McCoy’s carpenter skills were used to assist in the rebuilding of Germany, while guarding the Iron Curtain during the Cold War at the same time of the Korean "Conflict" War.
